Description

This collection contains the the Unreal Tournament 99 map DEMO-ChaosTrees(SB)V3.unr. It is intended to show the decorative elements of the package ChaosTrees.u, not for playing. Also some extended and animated plants are contained.

Extended ChaosTrees Plants

I noticed that some plants have unused animations. I subclassed these plants and now they play the animation in a loop. You'll find the source code of these plants in the directory Sourcecode and the plants itself in the map at the row right side (the stock plants are in the left row). I added the postfix _ex to the subclassed plants:

Usage (for mappers)

Stock ChaosTrees Plants

As a mapper you should know how to use the stock Actors of the ChaosTrees package.

Subclassed Plants

UnrealEd's Actor Class Browser with ChaosTrees' plants Put the file ChaosTrees.u into the UT directory where U files are located (usually SYSTEM). Then open the map DEMO-ChaosTrees(SB)V3.unr in UnrealEd. Now open your map without closing UnrealEd what will cause all Actors of previous map stay in memory. Then add the desired plants from the Actor Browser Decoration > ChaosTrees

If you distribute your map to public you should also add the file ChaosTrees.u to your package.
